The Palm Grove

The Palm Grove was a vast plantation of palm trees in the southern part of the Wilderness in Baghdad.

History

In the 860s, the Order of the Ancients' member Suhail ordered his guards to execute the merchants of local shops in Karkh while they were on the road at the grove, as one merchant knew of his location. However, the merchants were escorted to the city by the Alamut Hidden Ones Basim Ibn Ishaq, who found them at their small encampment. While escorting them, Basim killed the assailants sent after them and learned of Al-Anqa and the tax collector Suhail being the same person and being part of the Order.[1]
