Orichalcum is a metal mentioned in varioud ancient Greek writings.

During the Peloponnesian War, Orichalcum ores were could be found across Greece, such that Sargon, a merchant in Phokis, used it as a form of currency in trading. The Spartan misthios, Kassandra, would locate these ores and trade with Sargon for equipment.
