Animus data fragment
Animus data fragments were fragments spread throughout the city of Constantinople during Desmond Miles' Animus sessions. Collecting each one of them would open up a small memory for him, which he could play while in the Animus Island.[1] When Desmond fell in a Coma due to the stress put on his mind, the other assasins atempted to revive him by puting him back in the animus. These Fragments can be collected when playing as Ezio in Constantinople. When collecting a certain amount of fragments(Which are ironically shaped as AC Brotherhood loading symbols), Desmond is able to access the inside on the Animus' core system, runs as a peice of memory through the Animus, and explains his early life to the player while doing so.
