Norðri, Suðri, Austri and Vestri were four dwarves of Norse mythology.^[1]

After Odin, Vili, and Vé murdered Ymir and tore him to pieces, his skull became the sky and Norðri, Suðri, Austri, and Vestri held it aloft,^[1] one on each corner.^[2]
