The Niflheim Helmet was a helmet inspired by the cold realm of Niflheim in Norse mythology. It was said to be able to summon a fraction of the primordial cold that merged with the fires of Múspellsheimr in the void Ginnungagap to bring the universe and Earth into existence.
During the Viking expansion into England, the helmet was made available to the shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan through an Animus modification by Layla Hassan, an Assassin who relieved her memories.[1]
