The Mōdraniht Ceremonial Set was an armor set used during ritual sacrifices, named after Mōdraniht, the Anglo-Saxon pagan festival synonymous with the Germanic pagan holiday of Yule. During the late 9th century, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan collected all five pieces of this set, buying them from Norvid during a Yule festival.[1]
