Mycenae

Mycenae was an ancient city situated northeast of Argos in Argolis Greece. The home of King Agamemnon, it was one of the oldest cities in Greece, dating from the 3rd millenium BCE. It's walls were said to be the work of the Cyclops. It was later abandoned in the 5th century BCE.

Agamemnon's tomb was also situated nearby and was explored by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra, during the Peloponnesian War.[1]
