The Morrigan in the Northern Atlantic Ocean

The Morrigan was a heavily modified sloop captained by former Assassin-turned-Templar Shay Cormac during the Seven Years' War. Due to the Templar Order's great wealth, the Morrigan was one of the most advanced warships during its time. She was equipped with advanced weaponry such as puckle guns, cannonade and burning oil. She also possessed the standard armaments such as broadside cannons, mortars and an ice ram. Due to the sleek design of the vessel, she was much faster and maneuverable than the Jackdaw.

Trivia

  • The Morrigan featured wolves on its sails and figurehead.
  • The ship shared its name with a figure from Irish mythology called "The Morrígan". She was the goddess of strife, battle and sovereignty. She was also depicted as a crow, giving the Morrigan an avian namesake along with the Aquila and Jackdaw.
