Mexico, also known as the United Mexican States, is a country located in southern North America. It is bordered to the north by the United States and to the southeast by Guatemala, Belize and the Caribbean Sea, and on the east by the Gulf of Mexico.
History
In 1519, the Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortés led an expedition to Mexico, along with the undercover Assassin, Giovanni Borgia. While he disguised himself as a chronicler and astrologer, Giovanni was tasked to locate and retrieve the Crystal Skull.
The group of explorers sailed to Tenochtitlan, where they used translators to communicate with the local Aztecs upon their arrival in 1520. They brought the explorers to Tenochtitlan, where they were confronted by their leader, Moctezuma II, who allowed them to live in his own chambers, believing them to be gods.
Later on, as the Spanish explorers grew greedy of the Aztecs' abundance of gold, and disgusted on the demonstration of a human sacrifice, a conflict between the two groups arose, giving Giovanni the opportunity to assassinate an Aztec priest with his Hidden Blade and take the Crystal Skull.
