The highest rank in the brotherhood. Altaïr held the position before being demoted to Novice Asssassin, a level which he does eventually regain. His descendant, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, eventually becomes a Master Assassin at some point during his lifetime. Ezio becomes a master assassin at the age of 40 and it is speculated if he is the master of the assassins in Italy.

Attire

A Master Assassin's attire is quite different from that worn by the other assassin's. It still has a hood with a beak-like design like the others, but it's robes are considerably longer, forming a bird-like "tail" whenever he performs a leap of faith or when he stands on a ledge.

It has a waist belt that is considerably larger than those worn by other assassins because it holds five throwing knives. The waist belt is bigger to hold 5 throwing knives. There is also a container for throwing knives on the right shoulder and on the left boot. A sheath for a sword can be found attached to his waist belt by two straps. The left arm has armor that is bigger than the the right, as it hides the hidden blade. Two assassin's are known to use this attire: Altair, Ezio and Malik.
