Markos' Tenderizer

Markos' Tenderizer was a heavy weapon in 5th century BCE Greece. Whether the name referred to its owner or the target of its owner's ministrations is questionable.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra found this weapon in a chest within the Aristocratic Residences in Pythagoreion on Samos.[1]

Description
Truth be told, this weapon is not for the tidy. It tends to leave behind quite a mess.

Behind the scenes

Markos' Tenderizer, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the model with the commonly found Morning Star, another weapon in the same game. These are both recycled from the Bone-Cracker, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins, which itself was apparently based on a mace from Roman Egypt dated to 30 B.C.–A.D. 364 which is now at the Metropolitan Museum of Art with accession number "15.2.6a, b".[2]
