Map
Maps are used to help Altaïr and Ezio move about the cities, and plan his assassinations and investigations. It acts as a compromise to Altaïr's and Ezio's memory and as sense of direction for the player. With every View Point you have successfully climbed, more areas will appear on your map which reveal certain parts of your investigation, which you can recognize by its symbol.
In Assassin's Creed, they will also reveal locations of citizens you can save from soldiers.
In Assassin's Creed II, the Map's frame color also indicates your Social Status.
