The Anaphi Sulphur Mine

The Anaphi Sulphur Mine was a mine on the volcanic island of Anaphi in the 5th century BCE Greece.

History

As the area was rich with sulfur, the mine on Anaphi was dedicated to its mining, people working amidst the pungent yellow pool and piles day and night.[1]
