I wanted to ask you something. Which is... what's your name? This article title is conjecture. Although the article subject is canon, no official name for it has been given. |
The Lost Histories was a volume of Herodotus' seminal Histories that was lost to time, before its rediscovery in 2018 by Layla Hassan. It was found buried alongside the Spear of Leonidas.
In it, Herodotus detailed his travels during the Peloponnesian War and his encounters with the legendary Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
Behind the scenes
Cut dialogue from Assassin's Creed: Odyssey has Victoria Bibeau read an excerpt from the Lost Histories starting in English and then transition into Ancient Greek:
"I have traveled our world all my life, from the great pyramids of Egypt to the snowy peaks of Mount Olympus... (Ancient Greek: I have read stories of gods, both great and terrible. And stories of heroes who rise and fall with the coming of the tide. Then, in a once-in-a-lifetime chance, you cross paths with someone who makes you question your very existence. And by the gods, you walk into the life of a legend. This is the story I have been destined to tell.)"
