Long Man of Wilmington

The Long Man of Wilmington is a hill figure found on the steep slopes of Windover Hill in the east of Sussex, depicting the figure of a man holding two sticks.

During the 9th century, the hill figure was visited by the Viking Eivor of the Raven Clan.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The origin of the hill figure has been a subject of great debate, with its creation speculated to be either created during the Neolithic period, the Iron Age, or in the 16th to 17th century.
