Herodotos and Kassandra at the Lion

The Lion of Leonidas was a statue of a lion flanked by pillars, set where the King Leonidas I of Sparta was laid to rest following the Battle of Thermopylae, in Malis, Greece.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited the place, meeting with Herodotos.[1]
