Leopold V (1157 – 1194) was Duke of Austria from 1177 and Duke of Styria from 1192 until his death.

In 1190 during the Third Crusade, Leopold took over Frederick Barbarossa's remaining army in the Holy Land following the Holy Roman Emperor's death. His men converged outside of the Ayyubid-occupied city of Acre in 1191, joining the Crusaders in besieging the city. Despite being replled by Saladin numerous times, the Crusaders won the battle with aid from King Richard I of England.[1]
