Leonius was a male Assassin living in Italy during Emperor Caligula's rule.

Biography

Leonius was a member of the Italian Assassin Guild. The Emperor, Gaius Julius Caesar, commonly referred to as Caligula, was a tyrant and the land had to be freed of him.

On 24 January 41, while Caligula was adressing a group of young actors during a series of games and dramatics held for the Divine Augustus, Leonius, and perhaps some other Assassins, possibly Cassius Chaerea, stabbed Caligula, resulting in his death.

During the Renaissance, Leonius' sarcophagus was moved to Venice, Italy, in the Santa Maria della Visitazione. The Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze explored Leonius' tomb and took the hidden seal from his sarcophagus, which would help him to obtain Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's armor.

Trivia

  • In real history, Caligula was assassinated by Cassius Chaerea, a member of the praetorian guard, in AD 41.
