Lanz was the leader of the Rome-based Cento Occhi gang.[1]

Biography

Lanz fell in love with a woman and they were to have a baby. However, the baby was a miscarriage and Lanz fell into a depression. He joined the Cento Occhi gang, "pushing men off buildings." Some time later, he had become the gang's leader.[2]

In 1503, he got visited by Fiora Cavazza, representing Cesare Borgia. At first, he payed no mind to the woman, but realized she was a part of the Borgia when she threw a knife next to his feet. As he feared the Borgia, he was eager to make an alliance in which the Cento Occhi would deliver the Borgia several payments.[1]

The same year, Lanz's wife fell into a depression, threatening to take her own life. However, the Assassin Ezio Auditore found her and was able to prevent her from commiting suicide, saying that he would take care of Lanz. Ezio managed to track Lanz down and assassinated him.[2]

Multiplayer

Lanz appears in the multiplayer mode of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, under the name "Footpad".[2]
