Khentkawes Hideout

Khentkawes Hideout was an Old Kingdom ruin situated east of the Pyramid of Menkaure as part of the Menkaure's pyramid complex. In the 1st century BCE, the ruins served as a base camp for various bandits in Giza.

In 48 BCE, the Medjay, Bayek, travelled to the hideout in order to rescue Rashidi, a fellow scavenger of Oba and Nebti, who claimed he had possession of the ring. After rescuing the Rashidi, Bayek was informed that another one of their brothers, Turo, had took possession of ring and ran northwest to the Hemon Mastaba.

Trivia

  • The name of the hideout likely refers to Khentkaus I, otherwise known as Khentkawes I, who was possibly a daughter of Menkaure.
