Kaya Shrine

Kaya Shrine was a Shinto shrine situated in northern Mount Kasataga in Harima, Japan.

History

In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki member and shinobi Fujibayashi Naoe arrived at the shrine after agreeing to help Koshiro find his attempted killers and members of his former commander Genzaburo. There, she had discovered that one of the members Yasokichi was ordered to kill a target in Mount Kasataga and then found him stationed at the shrine. While Yasokichi tinkered with his teppō, Naoe assassinated the soldier and recovered a note about fellow member Akane and a teppō Wave of Wasps from his personal effects.[1] While there, Naoe also paid her respects at two of its smaller shrines.[2]
