Kamikura-jinja Shrine

Kamikura-jinja Shrine is a Shinto shrine and one of Kumano Hayatama Taisha's original shrines in Kii, Japan.

History

In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke visited the shrine and paid respect to two of its smaller shrines. While there, they also climbed atop a tree nearby and surveyed the land. Going a bit further west of the shrine, they also found a chest and retrieved the ōdachi Loyal Traveler from its contents.^[1]
