Junk
Junks are Chinese-designed vessels. Developed during the Song dynasty from 960 to 1279, even the earlier junks were efficient and robust enough to travel across the sea over long distances. The design of the hull and sails made them superior to Western ships, which would later adopt the same design.[1]
