Jean-Jacques Calvert was a French member of the Templar Order.

As known sympathizers of Élise de la Serre's claim on the leadership of the Order, Calvert and his father were expected to come to the Templar gathering ordered by Élise in order to confirm her status as her father successor in October 1789. Seeing the malaise of the house master, the Marquis of Pimôdan, Elise threatened him with her sword, asking him who was waiting downstairs. Elise learned that there was no one, none of her father's former councillors : Sivert, Le Peletier, Lévesque and Lafreniére, nor anyone of her known sympathizers.

From De Pimôdan, she learned that Calvert and his father were killed in an attack on their castle by sans-culotte, while the Marquis de Simonon and the Marquis de Kilmister were missing. These informations prompted the woman to understand that there was a purge in the Order ordered by the mysterious man whom had ordered the death of her father, and she fled.
