Terry: "Confeda-what-now?"
Godfrey: "Confederation, ya tony. It's a group. An alliance. Lotsa different kinds of people all united."
Godfrey attempts to enlighten Terry as to the difference between the Iroquois and its Nations.[src]

The Iroquois, also known as the Haudenosaunee or the "People of the Longhouse", are a league of several nations and tribes of indigenous people in North America. By the 16th century, the Iroquoian-speaking people had divided into distinct tribes and together formed the Iroquois League, or the "League of Peace and Power".

Originally known as the Five Nations, the Iroquois consist of the Kanien'kehá:ka (Mohawk), Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga and Seneca nations. In 1722 the Tuscarora joined the League.
