Informer

Informants are fellow members of the assassin's guild that can be found within many of the cities in Assassin's Creed. They can offer you aid in your search for information about the whereabouts of your primary assassination targets. However, before you can get this information from them, you have to complete a small task for them. Generally they will ask you to collect a group of hidden flags and return to them within three minutes. Sometimes though, you are tasked with assassinating one or two people that the informant needs gotten rid of for reasons they explain to you.

The location of Informants can be found by climbing to the tops of the View Points within a city and using your Eagle Vision to reveal portions of the city on your map.
