Humpback whale

Found in oceans and seas around the world, it is known for emitting complex sequences of haunting moans. The humpback is a large whale (up to 62' (19m) long). They migrate from the poles to the equator seasonally and travel in pods.

Humpback whales began to be hunted in the early eighteenth century in the Atlantic Ocean and in the Caribbean Sea.

These whales were hunted by various individuals, such as the pirates Edward Kenway and Adéwalé, as well as the Assassin-turned-Templar Shay Cormac.
