The Holy Grail is a mythological artifact playing an important part in Arthurian literature.

On 7 September 2012, Abstergo Industries CEO Alan Rikkin sent an email to Animus Project lead Dr. Warren Vidic that current examination of Subject Seventeen indicated that all artifacts related to Jesus Christ were literary devices or derived from Pieces of Eden, and not actual objects. Despite not being able to confirm that the object does not exist and what its use might be, the company decided to focus its resources on retrieving other artifacts.[1]
