Aloys la Touche
Aloys la Touche (unknown – June 1793) was a tax officer, a member of the Parisian underworld as an enforcer of Le Roi des Thunes at La Cour des Miracles, and also a member of the Templar Order.
Biography
Before the French Revolution he worked for the royal treasury. However, he was fired from his office after he discovered that 10,000 livres went missing from the King's treasury and wrote a report about it. Dedicated to his work, La Touche became heinous toward the aristocrats contolling the administration of the Kingdom, saying that they were more interested about filling their pockets than doing their jobs.
Disillusioned and disgraced, La Touche joined the Cour des Miracles where his newfound cruelty and his knowledge of the economy help him to become the right arm of Le Roi des Thunes. On Charles Gabriel Sivert's recommendation, both were later recruited by the revolutionary faction of the Templar Order. After the death of Les Roi des Thunes in 1791, Grand Master François-Thomas Germain placed la Touche at the services of fellow Templar Maximilien de Robespierre, to spread propaganda as a way of expanding the Templar influence among the populace.
La Touche was eventually killed by the Assassin Arno Dorian in 1793 while overseeing an execution, in which Arno's old acquaintances Hugo and Victor were set to be killed by guillotine.
