Henry V of England
Henry V (1386 – 1422), also called Henry of Monmouth, was King of England from 1413 until his death in 1422. During his short reign, his military successes during the Hundred Years' War against France made England one of the strongest military powers in Europe.[1]
Legacy
Henry V's exploits were later made famous by the playwright William Shakespeare in the play Henry V, written in 1599 and first performed the following year.[2]
In October 2016, the Templar historian mentioned Henry V and his short reign while talking about the large scale of the Hundred Years' War. He noted that he did not die in glorious battle, rather, dying of dysentery.[2]
