The Hel-Bone Shield was a light shield with a bone-like design.

In the late 9th century, jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir bought this shield from artisan Everold, who fashioned it for her in exchange for stories about Odin's travels through Niflheim she had seen through her visions.[1]
