Healing Sanctuary of Amphiaraos

The Healing Sanctuary of Amphiaraos was a small temple located on a small hill in Boeotia, Greece. Dedicated to the mythical King of Argos, the temple was used as a campsite by the Daughters of Artemis during the Peloponnesian War. Visitors of the temple were said to be treated through dreams and often tossed gold or silver coins in the sanctuary's spring after their illness were treated.

Between 429 and 422 BCE, the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited the site, eliminating the leader of the group and claiming a chest in the temple.[1]
