Head of Saint Denis
The Head of Saint Denis was an ancient relic, a head-shaped lantern which was fueled by an Apple of Eden. In the Middle Ages, Suger of Saint-Denis used the power of the lantern to create a powerful weapon called the Eagle of Suger.
In August 1794, the Assassin Arno Dorian battled a group of tomb raiders sent by Napoleon Bonaparte in order to find the artefact in the First Civilization Temple hidden below the Basilica of Saint-Denis. The Assassin killed the raiders' leader, Philippe Rose, and used the power of the lantern to repel his men from the Temple.
Dorian then contacted the Brotherhood, asking them to bring the Apple to Cairo to man a known as Al Mualim. Arno kept the head, now an ordinary lantern.
