Harbormaster
Harbormasters were responsible for managing ports in Colonial America, and they could be hired to construct upgrades for ships.
Colonial era
During the early 18th century, the pirate Edward Kenway could purchase upgrades for his ship, Jackdaw, using blueprints he had found during maritime voyages and treasure hunts.[1]
During the late 18th century, the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton could also purchase the following equipment for his ship, Aquila, from the harbormasters. During this period, the various upgrades were priced as follows:[2]
- Wooden Hull Reinforcements: £13000
- Iron Hull Reinforcements: £25000
- Extra Cannon: £2500
- Heat Shot: £19000
- Grape Shot: £17000
- Improved Rudder: £11000
- Piercing Round: £9000
- Naval Ram: £8000
