Hagia Sophia (Greek : Ἁγία Σοφία,"Holy Wisdom") was a former Eastern Orthodox Church/Basilica created during the Byzantine Empire that was turned into a mosque by the Ottoman Empire that is located in the Imperial district in the city of Constantinople.
