Glastonbury Tor, also called simply Tor, is a tall hill located in southern England. It overshadows the misty lake home to the isle of Avalon.

History

By the 9th century CE, the high priestesses of the Women of the Mist that run the island of Avalon used the very top of the Tor to make prayers and offerings to their gods amidst the white fog that covered the summit. To reach it, they used a sacred path laden with white stones.[1]

Witch-warrior Niamh of Argyll often visited the Lady atop the Tor, including when asking for guidance in her quest to infiltrate the Hidden Ones to ascertain their goals[1] and when returning successful from her mission to recover Excalibur.[2]
