George IV of the United Kingdom
George IV (George Augustus Frederick; 12 August 1762 – 26 June 1830) was King of the United Kingdom from 29 January 1820 to 26 June 1830. He succeeded his father George III and was preceeded by his younger brother, William IV.
During his reign, George continued the renovation of the Buckingham House first inititated by his father. He later set his mind on converting it into a palace and hired the architect John Nash. When Nash got carried away with building the new palace that the budget ballooned to about half a million pounds, George fired him in 1829, a year before he died and before the palace was completed.[1]
