French Cuttoe

The French cuttoe or the Cuttoe Sword was a hanger sword of French design used during the 18th century.
During the French and Indian War, the Templar Shay Cormac acquired a sword and a shorter but otherwise identical parrying dagger from a treasure chest in Fort de Sable on the North Atlantic.[1]
Templar Haytham Kenway and assassins Ratonhnhaké:ton[2] and Aveline de Grandpré[3] purchased their cuttoe swords in general stores, many of which offered the weapon throughout the colonies, including in Boston, New York, New Orleans or the Frontier.
