Fort Baza was a fort located in the province of Granada in Andalusia, Spain.
During the Granada War, the fort served as one of the last defenses of the Emirate of Granada to prevent the fall of Granada.
History
Around 1491, the Spanish Army laid siege to the fort with assistance from the Templar-affiliated Spanish Inquisition. In an attempt to deprive the Spanish Army of food and supplies to weaken their offensive, the Assassins infiltrated their camp and disrupt their supplies.[1]
Despite the Assassins assistance, Fort Baza fell to the Spanish army, allowing their heavy artilery to move in to lay siege to Granada.[2]
