Marie Lévesque and Madame Flavigny

Madame Flavigny (died Summer 1792) was a member of the Parisian Rite of the Templar Order active during the French Revolution.

At some point during the Revolution, Flavigny performed an initiation ceremony in the catacombs beneath the city, personally inducting three men into the Templar Order. Unbeknownst to her, the ceremony was witnessed by Didier Paton, a spy who was employed by Maximilien de Robespierre to seek out counter-revolutionaries.

During the summer of 1792, Flavigny, posing as a dressmaker with a shop in Les Halles, was in fact working for fellow Templar Marie Lévesque, attacking the food convoys intended for Paris' markets. This caused much of the city's population to grow hungry. As citizens began accusing merchants of hoarding food, the city became unstable due to the frequent riots.

Flavigny's machinations were eventually uncovered by Théroigne de Méricourt, who requested the aid of the Assassins in recovering the stolen food. The Brotherhood's agents subsequently eliminated the Templar and her subordinates.
