The Family Leader was a middle-aged Greek woman living in Minos' Legacy in Messara, Greece, during the 5th century BCE.

Biography

The spokesperson of all the Messaran families suffering at the hands of the Followers of Ares, rampant around the countryside of Messara, the woman drew the attention of the Spartan misthios Kassandra while she was visiting Gortyn. The family leader told the misthios of the problems the cultists were causing them, and asked Kassandra to kill a number of the Followers in the caves around Mount Ida.[1]

After Kassandra had completed the task, the family leader rewarded her with some drachmae, and her own belt, worn for fear of the Followers of Ares.[1]
