The Albany Congress, also known as The Conference of Albany, was a meeting appointed by the United Kingdom that took place in Albany, New York, between the representatives of the Thirteen Colonies during the Seven Years' War, specifically in 1754, to discuss better relations with the Native American tribes and common defensive measures against the French.

During the conference, member of the Pennsylvanian delegation Benjamin Franklin suggested for the first time the idea of the unification of the colonies, ruled by a president elected by the British Crown. Although the idea was rejected, it would eventually reconsidered and adopted during the American Revolution.
