Estadio Azteca
Estadio Azteca is a multi-purpose stadium in Mexico City.

In 2016, after kidnapping the Assassin Kody Adams, the Mexican cartel leader Arturo Viera set a trap for the other two Assassins, Galina Voronina and Charlotte de la Cruz, in retaliation for their harming of his girlfriend. He rented the stadium for the night, and together with his girlfriend and a dozen of his men, Viera waited for the Assassins' arrival. Once there, Charlotte used her new Assassins skills to take out Viera's men while the injured Galina was covering her with a sniper rifle. They killed all the cartel members present in the stadium until Viera's girls also began shooting at them with a sniper rifle. Forced to take cover, Charlotte was captured by Viera. Shooting her in the foot and threatening to kill both her and Kody, Viera ordered Galina to show herself.[1]
However, just as the Assassins ware about to be killed, a Templar strike team led by Ortega Sanchez arrived in a helicopter, killing Viera's lover and injuring him using a machinegun. While the Templars landed, Viera crawled on the ground trying to reach the butchered body of his love until the Templar agent Whittaker shot and killed him.[1]
Introducing himself to the Assassins, Sanchez was surprised when de la Cruz threatened to kill herself if they did not release let her friends but Sanchez refused, stating that bringing home the head of the famous Galina would be enough. De la Cruz then offered the location of where the hacking collective Erudito's leaders planned to meet in three days' time, Sanchez accepted, giving her one day to look into the Animus for an answer and to respect their pact, then left in the helicopter with his men. The Assassins were then able to leave together alive.[1]
