Eristenea House

Eristenea House was a residence in the city of Epidaurus in Argolis, Greece.

In 431 BCE, the residence was under the ownership of a landlord who was associated with Dolops, a farmer and the son of Chrysis. After suspecting the landlord sent his men to eliminate him, Dolops requested the Spartan misthios Kassandra to investigate and deduce the perpetrator. Kassandra correctly deduced the landlord as the one responsible and eliminated him and his guards in his residence.[1]

Trivia

  • Eristenea was the wife of Procles, the Tyrant of Epidaurus, and through their daughter Lyside the mother-in-law to Periander, the Tyrant of Korinth.
