They call me many things: Murderer. Cutthroat. Thief. But you may call me Egil the Fornicating Crow.

This article is about a subject that lacks an official name and is known only by its nickname, title, or alias.

Egil the Fornicating Crow was a criminal in late 9th century England.

Known for stealing food and murdering several innocent Norsefolk who had hoped to trade with him, Egil was declared a wanted criminal under Danelaw and under the rule of both King Alfred of Wessex and King Burgred of Mercia. Reeve Othswith of Grantebridgescire thus placed a number of wanted posters around Grantebridge with details surrounding Egil's crimes.[1]
