Edward Oxford (19 April 1822 – 23 April 1900) was an English painter who was one of the seven people who attempted to assassinate Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom.

In 1840, while Victoria's carriage was passing through Green Park, Edward fired his pistol twice on the carriage, both missed. He was subsequently subdued by the nearby onlookers.[1]
