Edinburgh Castle

Edinburgh Castle was an estate and manor house located in Jamaica.

History

The castle and surrounding land were first bought by Lewis Hutchinson in 1768. Developing a reputation as "The Mad Doctor", locals did not go near the castle out of fear of being shot by Hutchinson. However, the town's main road traveled parallel to the manor, meaning locals would be in range for Hutchinson to shoot them.

After Hutchinson was hanged in 1773 for murder, the manor was abandoned. Later, in 1776, the Colonial Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton traveled to the abandoned residence in search of one of Hutchinson's victims, Joseph Palmer.
