Aisin-Gioro Yinzhen (Manchu:ᡳᠨ ᠵᡝᠨ; Chinese: 愛新覺羅·胤禛; 1678 – 1735), the Yongzhen Emperor (Chinese: 雍正帝) was the fourth ruler of the Qing dynasty of China, reigning from 1722 until his death.

Biography

In 1725, during the initial breakout of the Shimazu clan civil war in Macau, the Emperor was mentioned by the businessman Sun of the Hualien Trading Company, who wished to deliver a powerful Piece of Eden from Angkor into the Emperor's hands to curry favor. However, Sun's nephew, the Chinese Assassin Xiao Han, hated the Qing Emperor with a passion for how his predecessors had persecuted his Order and the Han Chinese people, leading him to turn on Sun.[1] The businessman was ultimately killed by Xiao Han and thus his plan to deliver the Piece of Eden to the Emperor never came to fruition.[2]
