The Den of Lykaon was a wolf-den located on Mount Psophis in Arkadia, Greece.

During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited the den, killing the alpha wolf.[1]

Trivia

  • The name of the cave references Lykaon, a king of Arkadia in Greek mythology. He was said to have been turned into a wolf by the god Zeus as a punishment for trying to feed the god the flesh of his own son, Nyctimus.
