Den Defense

Ezio and several Assassins defend a den.

Den Defense was a new game mode introduced in Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Occasionally, an Assassin Den would be invaded by Byzantine Templars, which would require the Assassin Mentor Ezio Auditore da Firenze to command several Assassins to defend it from the Templars' attack.

Defending a den involved spending morale wisely to place Assassins on rooftops, or have them set up barricades in the streets. To place units on the rooftops, there had to be an Assassin leader first.

The List of Units include:

• Assassin Leader
• Barricade
• Greek Fire Barricade
• Machine Gun Barricade
• Cannon Barricade
• Crossbowman
• Rifleman
• Air Assassin
• Bruiser
• Caltrop Bomber
• Shrapnel Bomber

Most of these units are unlocked with each successful Den Defense. Ezio can also aim and fire his gun at invading Templars, and loot them for more morale points.

Each Den Defense concludes with the Templars unleashing a War Machine.
